Hi, and thanks for stopping by! My name is Tom Racanelli, and I am a programmer/webmaster by trade.

In the past, I have worked as an early childhood educator, specifically at the Preschool level. So, I have devoted a portion of this site to the education of children.

I also am involved in several non-profit and volunteer organizations, and have added links to them throughout the site. For example, I found out how easy it is to become politically involved in causes which I care about by joining groups which leverage email campaigns to contact representatives and other officials involved in making the decisions which impact us all.

In fact, one such group which I became involved in is the Natural Resources Defense Council or NRDC. Their mission is to safeguard fragile natural habitats from greedy corporate interests which sometimes can be short-sighted, insensitive, and just plain arrogant!

I also have posted a blog, as I consider myself a writer, a person who is often coming up with ideas, many of them far-fetched! But alas, I considered it logical for me, a programmer/writer, to create a blog...(blog is short for Web Log).

There is also a Personal section in which I have listed some information about myself, family, and other items. This section also contains links to groups of pictures from trips I have taken and posted online for all to see.
