I work with young children, specifically at the Preschool level, and have devoted a portion of this site to the education of children.

Sept. 2, 2011 Life-long Dream Realized

Just returned from a life-changing experience of rafting through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River with AZRA, 226 miles. It is some of the most amazing terrain on the earth, and the powerful Colorado River provides much of the drinking water for the Southwest, including S. Calif and Las Vegas.

I also am involved in several non-profit and volunteer organizations, and have added links to them throughout the site. For example, I found out how easy it is to become politically involved in causes which I care about by joining groups which leverage email campaigns to contact representatives and other officials involved in making the decisions which impact us all.

In fact, one such group which I became involved in is the Natural Resources Defense Council or NRDC. Their mission is to safeguard fragile natural habitats from greedy corporate interests which sometimes can be short-sighted, insensitive, and just plain arrogant!

There is also a Personal section in which I have listed some information about myself, family, and other items. This section also contains links to groups of pictures from trips I have taken and posted online for all to see.
